Blue Tits are by far my favourite bird.  Learn about blue tits and other garden birds at the RSPB website:

Blue tits can lay up to 18 eggs at a time... OMG I'm glad I'm not a blue tit!

And the poor little teeny weeny chicks are ready to leave the nest after just 3 weeks of hatching. If you think about it, our species is nothing against these remarkable birds and other animals since we cannot fend for ourselves at all for many many years. I just think it's amazing.

And, blue tits feed their babies in the nest as much as 1000 times a day according to the RSPB website, and you thought our babies ate a lot!

I took this photograph at Plas Talgarth health club in Wales, the birds feed off our apartments balcony after we have put out monkey nuts and left over grub from our morning fry up! I took the picture with a Canon EOS 300 slr camera and with a 400mm sigma telephoto lens, therefore I would manage to be a safe distance from the birds in order not to frighten them away but also get the picture close enough so we weren't playing spot the bird when I got my film developed!

My lens unfortunately doesn't have image stabilisation, so I set it on a tripod with a cable shutter release so the camera wouldn't wobble on the tripod when I took a photograph. I just kept snapping away at the gorgeous, fluffy birds and was amazed when I got my photographs back to find I had captured one with its wings up ready to fly away. It is not often I have captured a bird in such a way without the whole bird being a blurred splodge!
